WHO’S NEWS: Residential appointments and promotions

Pamela Liebman, president and CEO of The Corcoran Group, announced Bill Cunningham has been named president of sales, a new position at the firm.Cunningham will have responsibility for overseeing management of all Corcoran sales in the Manhattan, Brooklyn, Hamptons and South Florida regions.

He will also continue to be responsible for sales-related functions, including oversight of Corcoran Agent Studio, the agent education center.

Cunningham joined Corcoran in 2001 as a sales agent, eventually moving into successive management positions including Managing Director, then Executive Managing Director of the Corcoran flagship East Side office, which is the firm’s largest and most profitable.

After a nine-month tour at Trump International Realty as president, Cunningham returned to Corcoran as Executive Vice President and General Sales Manager, the position he has held for the past three years.

Cunningham is a graduate of the University of Arkansas.

Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices New York Properties has added six new agents to both its residential and commercial divisions including Khine Tun, Michael Decker, Mary Anne Dinan, Colin O’Leary, Kaylin Whittingham and Yvette Westervelt.

Khine Tun joined the real estate industry from Wall Street with an analytics background and 15 years of exerience in the corporate world.

Michael Decker has enjoyed previous careers as an executive chef, construction site superintendent and luthier (a maker of stringed instruments).

An 18-year industry veteran, Mary Anne Dinan previously worked in Southern California, representing high-end residential properties in the greater San Diego area.

A New York native, Colin O’Leary began his real estate career in 2012, following a five-year tour serving on active-duty in the U.S. Air Force.

A client-oriented professional with over 20 years of experience, both in the hospitality and legal industries, Kaylin Whittingham graduated from Project REAP with a certificate in commercial real estate. In addition to her Law degree, she holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and another in English literature.

Yvette Westervelt brings years of varied real estate experience with previous positions in investor relations, operations, business analysis and advisory, administration and luxury asset management.

BOND New York announced the hire of Adam Taylor as managing director of the firm’s Chelsea office.

He’ll be tasked with managing the office and growing the resale business in that location.

A veteran of TOWN for over five years, Taylor was most recently managing director of Town’s Astor Place and 888 Seventh Avenue flagship locations.

Before that, he spent the majority of his career as a luxury sales agent at Brown Harris Stevens, with a short stint at Compass along the way.

He has over 30 years of luxury sales experience and over a decade of experience in the high-end New York City real estate market.

Taylor studied marketing at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and has lived in New York for over 20 years.
He is a member of The North Carolina Society of New York, as well as The Real Estate Board of New York.

In addition to Taylor, BOND has welcomed eight other former TOWN agents to its team.

Lisa Shapir was the fifth agent ever hired at Town; Francis Joyce joins BOND with over 20 years of real estate experience; Maria Quinn and Adalid Escamilla have been in the business for three-years plus.

Scott Mauil, Allison Bretherick, Salleigh Rothrock and Romana Dillon have also joined BOND as agents.

The Marketing Directors (TMDs) announced the promotion of Denham Apperley from marketing co-ordinator to project manager.
Apperley will play a larger role in bringing new residential projects to the market by managing and co-ordinating the work of architects, designers, developers and other consultants.

He will also analyze architectural plans to direct the work of the building’s designers and determine initial product specifications, finishes and pricing.

Apperley will also be involved in the creation and implementation of the marketing campaigns at each of the residential properties he oversees, and will monitor the media campaigns, as well as sales and rental velocity.
He will serve as a liaison between the developer and the sales team and will ensure the product training of all sales or leasing personnel.

Apperley joined TMDs in 2016 after interning as a development associate with Lenza COnstruction.
He holds a master’s degree in Real Estate Development from New York University’s Schack Institute of Real Estate and a Bachelor’s degree (with Honors) in economics with a specialization in law from the University of Cape Town in South Africa.

Warburg Realty announced that Gannon Forrester has joined the firm’s Tribeca office.

Forrester was most recently a top producer at TOWN, where he arrived with an already award-winning track record.
One of nine agents to recently join Warburg from TOWN, Forrester had the distinction of Elite Agent, which placed him in the uppermost percentage of brokers firm-wide based on transaction volume and commissions.

Specializing in luxury condos, both sales and rentals, Gannon’s domain comprises premier Manhattan neighborhoods.

Halstead announced that Leslie Bogen Winkler, longtime senior executive vice president has been appointed president of Halstead Management Company.

Winkler brings more than 40 years of residential property management experience during which she has overseen companies managing a wide range of buildings, including rentals, luxury condominiums and co-operatives.

She most recently served as executive vice president of Halstead Management Company, which manages approximately 20,000 units within 200 buildings throughout New York City.

Previously, she was head of Penmark Realty Management which merged into Halstead eight years ago, and president of Bellmarc Management Company.

Winkler holds a BS, MA and MBA from New York University.

With more than $2.5 billion in new condominium residences in its pipeline, Halstead Property Development Marketing (HPDM) has added new team roles to deepen the firm’s resources in architecture, planning, and design, as well as luxury branding and sales.

Caroline McDonald has been named vice president, brand strategy, bringing 20 years of experience positioning luxury brands to her new role overseeing luxury brand positioning for Halstead Property Development Marketing properties.

She previously worked on marketing and event strategies for American Express Publishing, Esquire, Conde Nast Traveler, and Vogue as well as brand marketing and public relations for the New York Times Style Magazine. At Saks Fifth Avenue and Coach, she held senior public relations and communications positions. She has partnered with countless brands from Cartier, Ferragamo and Range Rover to Four Seasons and Ritz Carlton, and has managed partnerships with global cultural events including Art Basel Miami; Tribeca Film Festival; Golden Globes; and New York, Paris, and Milan Fashion Weeks. She is a graduate of the University of Virginia.

Whitney Kraus was promoted to director of architecture and planning.

She previously served as a project manager with HPDM, and before that, as a project architect for Selldorf Architects. A registered architect with a U.S. Green Building Council LEED-AP certification, she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in architecture from the University of Michigan and received a Master of Architecture degree from Yale University.

Vanessa Connelly brings over a decade of on-site experience to the newly created role, director of sales.

She previously worked as an agent or sales manager for HPDM at developments throughout New York. She will work with Executive Vice President Roberta Benzilio to oversee operations, client relations, pre-development sales planning, and the management of on-site teams.

Connelly is a graduate of New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts.

Nikki Greenberg, project director, comes to HPDM from Greenland Holding Group in Australia, where she launched more than 40 mixed-use communities totaling 2,400 condos.

Prior to Greenland, she worked in architecture and urban and interior design with industry leaders Lendlease, Buchan Group and Koichi Takada Architects.
