WHO’S NEWS: Residential appointments and promotions

Stribling & Associates announced that Christine Miller Martin and Deanna Lloyd have joined the firm.
With an extensive client network and combined expertise in co-op and condo resales, trusts and estates, and luxury marketing, Martin and Lloyd will serve high-end buyers and sellers across Manhattan and Brooklyn from Stribling’s flagship office at 924 Madison Avenue.
Previously, Martin and Lloyd were top producers at Engel & Volkers.

CHRISTINE MILLER MARTIN

Christine Miller Martin has 15 years experience in the business and was a top producer at her previous firm, earning its prestigious Private Office distinction.
A former trusts and estates attorney, Martin possesses extensive knowledge of selling estate-condition properties and enjoys strong relationships with leading private wealth companies and law firms.
Martin serves on the Advisory Council of The New York Landmarks Conservancy, the board of El Museo del Barrio, the Visionary Circle of the 9/11 Memorial, and the Planning Advisory Committee for Lighthouse International, as well as being a member of The Brazilian-American Chamber of Commerce and Friends of the Upper East Side Historic Districts.
She is an honors graduate of Middlesex School, Wellesley College and Brooklyn Law School where she was an editor of The Brooklyn Law Review.

DEANNA LLOYD

Deanna Lloyd has been working in real estate for three years and has risen through the ranks due to her keen eye and strong work ethic which she owes to her previous high-fashion public relations career.
Prior to joining Engel and Volkers, Lloyd worked in public relations for luxury brands including Ralph Lauren, Louis Vuitton, and Prada.

Fox Residential Group has welcomed Agnes K. Goldberger to its residential sales and leasing team.
Goldberger is a former banker and entrepreneur with a well-established international reach.
In addition to her new position, she will remain a principal of Israeli Wine Direct, LLC, an importer of fine wines from family-owned wineries in Israel, with a distribution that includes Le Bernardin, Daniel and more than 150 other prestigious restaurants and hotels in the U.S.
Prior to her latest endeavors, Goldberger co-founded FourSight Advisors, LLC, a minority and women-owned investment advisory and consulting firm with a client base comprising institutional and private investors.
She has also held executive positions at Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank Securities and Citibank AMBAC, and financial service institutions.
Goldberger holds an MBA from NYU Stern School of Business. In addition to English, she is fluent in German, Hungarian and Romanian.

Eva Mohr and Greg Schriefer announced their recent partnership at Sotheby’s International Realty, Inc.
Mohr has over 24 years as a Sotheby’s International Realty top producer, Senior Global Real Estate Advisor and Associate Broker.
The Mohr/Schriefer Team will be based out of the East Side Manhattan Brokerage office.

Hannah Yoo and Catherine Connelly have joined The Marketing Directors (TMDs) as Marketing Co-ordinators.
Yoo and Connelly will be responsible for the positioning of the firm’s properties in the market, product development, and the management of TMDs efforts in PR and ongoing sales and leasing.
Hannah Yoo is a recent graduate of the University of Massachusetts Amherst and holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism.
During her time at UMass Amherst, Yoo served as the editor-in-chief of the Amherst Wire, the campus’ online student magazine. Prior to joining TMDs, she interned at The Boston Globe, where she focused on emerging tech startups in the Boston area.
Catherine Connelly is a recent graduate of Villanova University and holds a bachelor’s degree in communications. She interned at The Marketing Directors the summer before her senior year at Villanova,.
Prior to her internship, Connelly worked at Bettershelter Real Estate Development as an intern.

Homes By Mara Realty welcomed Sue Ford as its newest licensed salesperson.
New to the residential real estate sector, Ford was previously a food server at Merrick Avenue Middle School, where she continues to work to date. She was also a manager at Kenneth Michaels Cleaners. Before that, she took a 14 year sabbatical from work to focus on raising her two daughters.

Ellis Sotheby’s International Realty announced that Susan Smolanoff has joined the firm as a licensed real estate salesperson.

SUE SMOLANOF

Smolanofff, who brings to her role a background in real estate and management, previously held positions as a licensed real estate salesperson and legal assistant, both in New City, New York.
She is a member of the National Association of Realtors and the Hudson Gateway Association of Realtors and its multiple listing service.
Smolanoff earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration and management at The College at Brockport, State University of New York.
She spent 15 years in fitness management prior to her career in real estate.

The Corcoran Group announced Rick Kelly has joined the firm’s flagship East Side office.
Kelly makes the move to Corcoran along with colleagues Claudio DeBlois, AnneMarie Tamis-Nasello and Joan Schaffer.
Kelly has sold over $400 million worth of property over his 15-year career at the Douglas Elliman Flatiron office.
He has worked with a number of prestigious clients, including former DirectTV CEO Michael White, performer Sean John Combs, and top fashion designers Eli Tahari and Rebecca Minkoff, among others.

RICK KELLY

Experienced in the marketing and selling of both new development and resale properties, Kelly launched The Gantry, the first new development property in Long Island City a decade ago and successfully sold out The Tribeca Summit at 415 Greenwich Street.
Prior to entering the real estate industry, Kelly had a diverse career, including stints as head bartender at the Windows on the World restaurant in the World Trade Center and a long-standing involvement in the music industry.
His original songs have charted ten times, including a Top 5 hit in Europe.
Besides his main focus on real estate, he is a marathon runner, new father and property owner throughout the Unites States.

Level Group announced that Chief Operating Officer Michael Barbolla has joined the Residential Brokerage Education Committee of the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY).
The committee, chaired by Vickey L. Barron of The Corcoran Group, develops and schedules an educational program of seminars and workshops for agents and assists in the development of curriculum required by the New York State Licensing Law.
Barbolla, who has a master’s degree in education, founded Level Group’s Spotlight Series, a bi-annual educational. and is in charge of the firm’s Learning Series, an ongoing learning program for agents.
The Residential Brokerage Education Committee, which is open to brokers and sales people who are REBNY members in good standing, offers online and onsite continuing education courses as well as non-credit seminars led by notable field experts

The award recognizes agents for outstanding individual production and achievement across various sales categories.

Keller Williams Tribeca, headed by Mark Chin, has hired a new management team member.
Lauren Balbuena joins the firm as its Director of Career Development. Balbuena has five years of real estate experience, most recently as a Broker Assistant at Town Residential’s Astor Place office.

LAUREN BALBUENA

In that role she managed exclusive Manhattan sales listings, assisted top producing brokers and represented multiple landlords to ultimately close over 100 rental transactions. Balbuena also served as an office co-ordinator.
In her new role she will be responsible for creating and overseeing the education program for Keller Williams Tribeca. She will also manage vendor partners, teach core classes, manage training tracking and coach agents, while assisting the CEO in other management tasks.
A graduate of American University, Lauren earned a dual major in economics and communication studies. Prior to her real estate career she worked at online marketplace Living Social as a Consumer Advocate.

Laura Maggiore joined the firm with five years of real estate experience, most recently having worked at Citi-Habitats. Zendre Goodlett formerly worked at Garrick Realty Network for the last four years.
Jonathan Flores has seven years of real estate experience most recently from Briggs Freeman in Dallas, a Sotheby’s affiliate.
Daniel Bollinger, formerly of Halstead in Brooklyn, has four years of experience as a real estate agent.

Triplemint announced that Peter and Naline Sommer have joined the real estate tech startup.
Peter Sommer has spent 10 years in the real estate industry, representing buyers, sellers and renters across Manhattan and Brooklyn.
Previously, he spent 12 years as a financial advisor at Morgan Stanley and Smith Barney, where he was responsible for managing individual investment portfolios.
Peter and his wife Naline comprise the Sommer Team at Triplemint.
Prior to entering real estate, Naline Sommer was the Director of Catering, Sales, and Events at Guy & Gallard.

Douglas Elliman Real Estate named Carl Benincasa as regional vice president of sales, Hamptons.
Benincasa previously served as an attorney for Southampton Town and was a partner with Scarola, Benincasa and Mouzakitas, leading the firm in the areas of acquisition and sales, zoning, financing, contract law and insurance issues relating to real estate.
Benincasa, who began his legal career as an assistant district attorney in New York City, earned a degree in political science from The George Washington University and his law degree from St. John’s University, where he was both a senior bar member of the Moot Court Honor Society and a senior staff member of the New York International Law Review.
Additionally, he holds a master’s degree in public administration from the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University.
