WHO’S NEWS: Elliman rental specialist moves to William Raveis; Lina Viviano is new TOWN sales director

William Raveis New York City announced that industry veteran Otari (Terry) Bater is now leading its New York City rental division.
Bater joins the firm from his previous post at Douglas Elliman, where he also specialized in rental transactions.
Prior to that, Bater worked at residential brokerage Hecht Group for more than a decade, building on his prior entrepreneurial background in commercial building purchases and sales.

Lina Viviano has been named the Sales Director of TOWN’s Astor Place office.
In addition to her role as Director of Professional Development, Viviano will lead the sales team at TOWN Astor Place alongside Julia Miller, Larry Goldblatt and Flori Del Valle.
Vivianoa is an associate real estate broker and a respected New York City-based litigator with over 20 years’ experience in the legal industry.

She has been an integral member of the TOWN management team who, since the earliest days of the company’s founding.
Viviano also leads the firm’s professional development platform, The Astor Room and has designed course offerings that include relevant industry topics and panels.
As the founder of Gotham Walking Tours, a historical consulting and walking tour company, and a licensed professional New York City guide, she has spent many years researching the history of New York City.
She has spearheaded TOWN’s Neighborhood Certification Program.
Viviano is a summa cum laude graduate of Queens College of the City University of New York, holds a Master’s degree in American Government from Harvard University, and received a Juris Doctor degree from New York University School of Law where she was awarded with top honors for her oratorical skills.
She also taught American Government and History courses as a Teaching Fellow at Harvard University.

TOWN Residential announced several new members have joined the firm’s Flatiron office which is managed by Ryan Fitzpatrick, Melissa True and Dan Marrello.
U.S. Air Force veteran Colin R. O’Leary’s served in the Air Force for eight years with units in Texas, Idaho, Alaska, Afghanistan and South Korea.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and entrepreneurship from Pace University, where he was president of the Student Veterans of America.
Christian Lipinski previously worked as an art director and photographer for luxury clients, such as Louis Vuitton and Ferrari.
He holds a master’s degree in Technology Education.
Raised in Germany, with roots in Turkey, Deniz Soto has a bachelor’s degree in fashion and experience as a stylist at a high-end boutique.
She speaks German, Turkish, French and English.
Suzanne Donahue credits much of her work ethic to her years in hospitality, as an events planner, restaurant manager and owner.
Frank Veilson has been a formidable player in the New York City real estate scene for more than 14 years.

Douglas Elliman Real Estate announced that Dana DeVito has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Marketing.
In her new leadership role, DeVito will manage Elliman’s marketing division and spearhead all marketing strategies including social and digital initiatives as well as all DE-branded events and activations.

She first joined Elliman as Vice President of Elliman Experience, a marketing division further connecting Douglas Elliman to the worlds of art, architecture, and media.

The Corcoran Group announced that Regis Roumila, ranked as Nestseeker’s #2 agent in 2015, has joined the firm’s Chelsea office.
Roumila joined the real estate industry in 2000, transitioning from rentals to sales and emerging as a top producer at several firms.
He also served as a director at CORE Group Marketing before joining Nestseekers in 2011. In his five years at the company, he rose to be the #2 broker in 2015 with over $100M in sales.
Prior to joining the real estate industry, Roumila worked in advertising in France for clients like L’Oreal.
He attended École de Droit de la Sorbonne (Sorbonne Law School) in Paris and has appeared on a number of television shows in France.

Ellis Sotheby’s International Realty announced that Barbara “Bobbie” Procida has joined the firm as a licensed real estate salesperson.
Procida is a member of the National Association of Realtors, the New York State Association of Realtors, the Realtors Political Action Committee and the Nyack Chamber of Commerce.
She earned a bachelor of science degree in nursing at The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C.
Procida is also known as a successful Bergen County girls basketball coach for nearly 25 years.

The Corcoran Group announced that Liz Nelson has joined the firm’s Chelsea office as Managing Director.
Nelson started her real estate career as an agent at Corcoran in 2004 at the 660 Madison Avenue office.
She subsequently held a number of positions at Douglas Elliman, as an agent and eventually created the DE Broker Specialist Program, where she served as Executive Vice President and Director.
Most recently, Nelson managed day-to-day operations at the top-producing Elliman 17th Street office.
She will work closely with Senior Managing Director Leigh Godwin in all aspects of operations, from hands-on training and mentoring of agents to corporate marketing and business development. She feels thrilled to have the opportunity to contribute to the support and career growth at the top-performing Chelsea office, as well as to collaborate with Corcoran’s management team.

Houlihan Lawrence announced the appointment of Brian Murray as manager of its Chappaqua brokerage office.
Murray was most recently an agent with the company’s Bedford office.
He joined Houlihan Lawrence at a young age over a decade ago, working in field sales for a development represented by the firm’s Project Marketing division.
He benefitted greatly from the mentorship of two of Houlihan’s most influential leaders: VP of Private Brokerage Tony Cutugno and the late Susy Glasgall, the longstanding top producer in Rye and company-wide.
As manager, Brian will lead 58 agents through all real estate transactions.

Before that, he spent five years as a real estate broker in Paris, and another five working as the sales and marketing director for a real estate firm based in Morocco, operating in Morocco and Spain.
Born in Casablanca, Abittan holds a French Diploma from Idrac Paris.

Schnall will assume executive oversight for a team of professionals who specialize in services uniquely crafted for the niche market of ultra-luxury residences.
Schnall joined the company in 2008 as an assistant property manager at The Plaza Condominium. he was promoted to general Manager in 2010 and to managing director in 2015.
