WHO’S NEWS: Avi Alkotzer joins Corcoran; Stribling analyst promoted

Stribling Marketing Associates, the division of Stribling & Associates that specializes in the consulting, marketing and sales of ground up construction and conversions, announced that Krista S. Jones has been promoted to Senior Research Analyst.

Jones will focus on real estate market analysis and act as a developer’s liaison, helping to oversee the pre-development and design process of a project.
She will manage the market intelligence consulting business and provide market research data to developers and financial institutions.
Prior to joining the Stribling Marketing Associates team, Jones worked for an asset management firm specializing in domestic and international investor relations.
She earned her B.A. in Marketing with a minor in Finance from the University of Scranton in Pennsylvania and has spent significant time abroad studying in France.

The Corcoran Group announced that Avi Alkotzer, the No. 1 agent at Blu Realty Group for the past four years, has joined the firm’s flagship office at 660 Madison Avenue.

Alkotzer has over a decade of experience in New York City real estate, amassing sales in excess of $100 million.
He began his career in 2006 at a Financial District-based real estate firm where he was named Rookie of the Year, and continued when he joined Blu Realty in 2012, where he received the Highest Gross Commission award and Agent of the Year award for the past four consecutive years.
Alkotzer represents clients in all areas of Manhattan and Brooklyn, from his neighborhood of the Financial District to Riverside Boulevard, where he has sold a number of residences. In addition to English, he is fluent in Hebrew.

Weichert New Homes has announced that Cheri Bungard has been named senior vice president, responsible for the financial performance, growth and strategic direction of Weichert’s new homes sales and marketing business.
Bungard will also oversee the daily operations of the company and will work with Weichert sales associates who specialize in new home construction to effectively market new construction projects throughout Weichert, Realtors’ service area.
Bungard was previously director of business development for the Western New Jersey region of the Condominium & Homeowner Association Division of FirstService Residential.
Prior to that, she was responsible for the successful launch and management of new home communities at Pulte Homes.
Bungard also has a broad background in marketing and public relations, and was an adjunct professor at Rowan University where she taught Services Marketing and Principles of Marketing.
She received her MBA with a concentration in communications from Rowan University.

For over a 15 years, Bond has built a thriving business in New York City’s residential real estate market.
She has attended Harvard University, Harvard Extension School, The Writer’s Studio and is a graduate of The Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute.
She serves on the Executive Board of the West 13th Street 100 Block Association, the Board of Directors of MiShinnah and volunteers at Mount Sinai Hospital’s Woman-to-Woman and Project Healing Waters.
With an award-winning background in the arts (including Cable Ace and Peabody Awards for Comedy Central’s Emmy-Winning Dr. Katz: Professional Therapist), and experience raising three (now grown) children in the city, Bond is a creative thinker and problem solver with a real passion for New York.

Kurt Amaya is the newest licensed salesperson at Homes By Mara Realty.
A former banker and financial loan officer Amaya, is a St. John’s University graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management.
He previously worked as a loan officer and banker for JP Morgan Chase in Manhattan. He also was a Mortgage Loan Officer at Franklin First Financial in West Hempstead.

Halstead Property Development Marketing (HPDM) announced the addition of Whitney Kraus to its growing team as Project Manager.
Kraus previously served as a Project Architect for Selldorf Architects, responsible for development and delivery of drawings in all design phases, daily management of architectural team members and coordination with consultants and contractors.
Kraus holds a Bachelor of Science degree in architecture from the University of Michigan, as well as a Master of Architecture degree from Yale University.
She holds a U.S. Green Building Council LEED-AP certification and has spearheaded a number of New York residential projects, including condominiums and private residences in Greenwich Village and Tribeca.
In addition to her residential work, Kraus oversaw the renovation of the Robert Rauschenberg Foundation building and the design co-ordination for the Gagosian Gallery on Madison Ave.
She also developed concept packages for Yves Saint Laurent’s international retail rebranding efforts.
