Design and build studio leases Bushwick building

ABS Partners Real Estate announced that fabrication lab and innovation studio, Collab signed a lease for the entire 12,000 s/f building located at 309 Starr Street,  in Brooklyn’s Bushwick neighborhood. The tenant is moving from SoHo, where they were located for nine years.

309 Starr Street, which is owned by Happier Two Productions, LLC, has 22 ft. ceiling heights and a 2,000-s/f front yard. It is also in close proximity to the Jefferson Street L subway station. ABS Partner’s Ben Waller represented both the ownership and the tenant in the transaction.

“We are seeing more and more innovative companies like Collab seeking space in Bushwick,” said Waller. “While the occupancy cost is substantially less than Manhattan, these companies are even more attracted to the types of flex spaces and the proximity to their workforce that the neighborhood has to offer.”

Collab is a 21st Century design and build studio. From applied research and discovery to rapid prototyping, design and fabrication, Collab designs products, develops solutions and build experiential marketing installations in-house for its clients. Collab’s studio is equipped with a range of digital fabrication equipment, including laser cutters, 3D printers, a wood shop, a stop motion lab, a cut and sew studio and a multi-media content creation lab.
