Giant Spoon co. eats into 44 Wall Street office space

EQ Office announced that Giant Spoon has signed a 17,024 s/f lease at 44 Wall Street, its 24-story tower in the heart of Manhattan’s Financial District.

Under the new lease, the agency will relocate its New York office from 176 Grand Street to the entire third floor of 44 Wall, following a buildout of the space by EQ Office.

A new kind of advertising agency, Giant Spoon’s work includes the highly-acclaimed immersive Westworld activation at South by Southwest this past year, as well as campaigns for leading brands such as Uber, HP, and Cole Haan.

“We are thrilled to welcome Giant Spoon to our growing roster of creative tenants,” said Scott Silverstein of EQ Office. “Giant Spoon is widely regarded for producing work that is innovative and revolutionary, and the agency wanted an office environment that matched this bold spirit.”

Since acquiring 44 Wall in June 2016 and embarking on the building’s improvement program, Equity Office has attracted companies including GameChanger, a tech company that produces a digital scorekeeping app; Joan Creative, a brand builder; JobDiva recruiting software; and Funny Or Die, a comedy brand founded by Will Ferrell, Adam Kay, and Chris Henchy.

Equity Office is in the final stages of a modernization program to reposition the historic building.
Giant Spoon was represented in the transaction by Brian Cohen and Corey Borg of Newmark Knight Frank.
Equity Office was represented in-house by Mr. Silverstein, as well as by Adam Foster, Michael Rizzo, Zachary Price, and Caroline Merck of CBRE.
