DONE DEALS: The week in NYC apartment sales

It was the combo of a private deck with six-person hot tub, coupled with an interior full of historic charm, that sold a client on her new home, reports Citi Habitats agent Andrew Sacks.
“My buyer was a young medical professional from Florida. I had found her a rental apartment a little over two years ago, and she contacted me when it came time to buy,” explains Sacks.

With two Chihuahuas, Sacks’ client wanted a home with outdoor space. A large kitchen was also a must have and she didn’t want to stray too far from her Flatiron neighborhood.
“We toured over 10 apartments, but when she saw 231 West 16th Street, Apt 1ER (pictured top)it was love at first sight,” says Sacks. “This one-bed, one-bath co-op was one-of-a-kind – and allowed space to create her dream eat-in kitchen. The fact she would have her own hot tub in the backyard didn’t hurt either.”
The asking price for the home was $1.195 million, but the seller accepted Sacks’ offer of $1.080 million.
Steve Van Brunt of DG Neary Realty represented the seller.
