Rutenberg NYC agent Melanie Siben just set a new pricing record on Sutton Place.

She sold the one bedroom unit 12E at 36 Sutton Place for $930,000, the highest price per square foot for a one bedroom in the building.

According to Siben, the  high-floor, corner apartment is a “Grand Slamˮ for the market. In move-in condition, the designer-decorated apartment has a large living room and dining area with new hardwood floors, a windowed eat-in kitchen, marble bathroom, a cedar-paneled storage closet, built-in cabinet and walk-in California closet in the bedroom

The building is “an address to impressˮ and features a meditation garden and landscaped roof deck overlooking the East River.

Siben listed the unit at $925,000 and it sold after 103 days on the market.  Common charges are $2,080 and amenities include 24-hour doormen, a bike room and laundry.
